Description: A Web deployed 3D game on Unity 3 engine designed to portray the Chinese history during the 1910 in British Columbia.

Role: Technical Director

Engine:

  • Oversee all optimization (Engine/Art/3D/Lights) related issues such that a constant frame rate is achieved on a web deployed platform.
  • Programming gameplay features like Visual effects (particles), Vehicle control, Mini games.

What I learned | Challenges:

We were handed the project from a obsolete Unity version and had to update all art and scripting to support Unity 3. I was rather new to Unity 3 and took this project as a opportunity to Expand my programming skills in C# and Javascript and had a deep interest in Vehical Mechanics.

Tools Used: Unity 3 Engine, Crazy Bump, 3Ds Max, Photoshop


Technical Skills Acquired:

  • Programming in Javascript and C#
  • Asset optimization (3D and Textures)
  • Lighting in 3d scenes.
  • Vehicular Mechanics
